At Rainbow Heights Club we take a holistic approach to address the needs of our members from both a mental and physical health point of view. As a part of our commitment to ensuring that our members nutritional needs are addressed we offer a daily meal each afternoon for those who participate in the day’s program activities as well as an evening snack for those members who attend in the evening.

Our members participate in all aspects of the Member Nutrition Program from menu planning to grocery shopping and helping to prepare and serve the meal. We offer healthier food alternatives suggested by our members such as; a fresh green salad served with meals, whole grain breads and pastas, vegetarian options, as well as low-fat dairy products and sugar free beverages.

We also offer our members the opportunity to participate in nutritional groups led by our certified holistic health counselor where they can learn how to incorporate the healthier food choices they enjoy at the club into their own meal planning at home. We offer weekly shopping trips to local supermarkets and greenmarkets where members get ‘hands on’ experience reading labels, comparing process and learning how to get the best value for their money.

So if you would like to be a part of our Member Nutrition Program you must first be a member of the club. Current members can participate simply by attending one of the nutrition groups or volunteering to help out with part of the meal service, shopping or clean up.
